Remembering Dr. Hyatt

New Falcon Press publisher Dr. Christopher Hyatt passed away on 9th February 2008. Dr. Hyatt throughout the 1980s and 1990s published counterculture authors who were a major influence on Disinformation, including Timothy Leary and Robert Anton Wilson. After reading RAW in the early 1990s, I read Hyatt's Undoing Yourself on Israel Regardie's interpretation of the Golden Dawn, and Hyatt's interpretation of exercises from Tantra, Yoga and Zen meditation. Hyatt's Tree of Life opens with a cognitive behavioural therapy questionnaire, designed to show the unsuspecting reader that their beliefs and emotional states will change over time. His anthology Rebels & Devils featured essays by Leary, Wilson, Antero Alli, William S. Burroughs and other antinomian practitioners. Keep a reflective diary, do Hyatt's exercises, and perceive how your life changes.
